Open contractor positions:

Join Kandelia’s mission to remove barriers to opportunities for immigrant and refugee students in Seattle! We’re seeking an instructor for after-school Beginner English Classes and English Conversation Club for newly arrived immigrant and refugee students at Seattle World School. This contractor position is perfect for someone who is enthusiastic, has strong relationship building skills, and is experienced working with multicultural and multilingual high school school students. Ability to provide culturally sensitive and respectful instruction is a must, and prior experience teaching English Language Learners is preferred.

This contracted position is for September 2026 through May 2027, excluding school breaks and holidays. Payment is $31/hour for an average of 15 hours per week while school is in session. Click here to find out more!
